The Role:

Our client, a well-established and innovative leader in the Spine industry, is seeking an Area Sales Manager to join their team in the Southeast region of the USA. In this role, you will drive the growth of the product line within your assigned territory by meeting sales targets and executing strategic initiatives. Your primary focus will be on expanding the customer base, developing distribution partnerships, and providing ongoing support to ensure exceptional customer and clinical outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with sales agents and distributor partners through leadership and mentorship.
  • Recruit, train, and support the professional development of distributor agents and sales representatives.
  • Prospect and qualify new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
  • Monitor distributor and agent performance, address any concerns, and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication to align all stakeholders with company objectives.
  • Establish trust with key opinion leaders and sales partners to foster long-term collaborations.
  • Organise training sessions for customers, distributors, and clinical staff to support product adoption and quality standards.
  • Evaluate agent performance and recommend adjustments to meet sales goals.
  • Prepare monthly reports analysing territory performance, including strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to define objectives and provide quarterly sales plans and progress updates.
  • Travel extensively within the territory to support hospital cases, conduct account visits, manage inventory logistics, and attend industry events (including overnight stays as needed).
  • Adhere to company compliance standards and all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Results-driven, able to multitask, and adaptable to urgent business needs.
  • Technically proficient, with experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), CRM systems, and strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods.
  • Capable of lifting and transporting equipment (up to 25 lbs     regularly, occasionally more).

Travel & Work Structure:

  • Expected Travel: 80%
  • Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried
  • Exemption Status: Exempt
